Phoebe, Veterinary Assistant
Phoebe’s love for animals started as a little girl in a house full of pets growing up. She went to school at University of Maine Farmington to pursue a bachelors in Creative Writing. While in Farmington she began volunteering at the Farmington County Animal Shelter and realized her true passion was animal care, advocacy, and husbandry.
After her graduation in 2018 Phoebe began her animal care career as an adoption counselor and care technician at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. In 2020 she joined Brunswick Veterinary Clinic where she worked with dogs, cats, and exotics. Phoebe then joined the NDVH team at the end of 2022 and hopes to further her education to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician in the near future.
Her favorite patients to work with are fearful and reactive pets who struggle at the vet’s office and hopes to make every experience a little bit better than the last with every visit. When Phoebe isn’t working, she’s tending to her house full of pets that include dogs, cats, rabbits, hedgehogs, tortoises, and more!
