Ben, CSR

Ben is from Gouldsboro, Maine and attended Colby College, and Karen Pryor Academy for animal training. He has worked in animal welfare for ten years, mostly via sheltering, and still takes in many foster dogs, cats, and bottle baby kittens (his favorites!). Ben was inspired to pursue a career in veterinary medicine by Dr. Calder, veterinary behaviorist, and Pat Koven, experienced trainer, and has a passion for animal behavior and training. Outside of work, Ben enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, board game nights, and exploring the local, state, and national parks. His future goals include buying a house, having children, and creating a feral cat colony (mostly his wife’s passion, but Ben agrees with the cats!).

Fun Fact: Ben’s favorite book series is either the Stormlight archive or the Quantum Evolution!
